Why do I need a ZAMCOPS Licence when I want to use Television or Radio Broadcast in my business premises?

Television and radio stations are licensed with ZAMCOPS to broadcast music. However, the license does not cover further public performance by those receiving TV or radio broadcasts. When a TV or radio broadcast is used in a commercial establishment such as in a pub, restaurant, shop, factory, or office, the use is a separate performance and the establishment is required to obtain a ZAMCOPS license.
